Point Mackenzie Overnight Trips

January 2-3rd - FULL
January 16-17th - slots still available
January 23-24th - slots still available

We will begin at the starting point of the Susitna 50/100 bike race. Then bike across frozen rivers, swamps, lakes and creeks as we meet up to the Iditarod Trail. The crackling ice underneath you is something to experience!

The views are breathtaking of Mount Susitna. Not only will you see Alaska's frozen landscapes, but you might come across Alaska's moose, lynx, fox, coyote, and eagles. Also note that these are the training trails for the Iditarod dog mushers, and they ALWAYS have the right of way.

Depending on the skill level of the group we would proceed across Flathorn Lake and return back on the Gas Line trail for a well deserved buffalo burger at the Point Mackenzie General Store. Then we will retire in a heated rustic cabin for the night.
